Loïc RAVENEL has a Ph.D. in geography and is currently a researcher at the Centre International d'Etudes du Sport in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). He was a lecturer at the universities of Caen and Besançon and is now in charge of the "CIES Football Observatory" (https://football-observatory.com/). For more than 25 years, Loïc Ravenel has been interested in the geography of sports and soccer in particular, on which he has published numerous articles and books. He is now working on the use and production of sports data.
